Knowing Jesus - At Zion we are passionate about helping people know Jesus personally. Receiving Jesus as your personal Saviour is the most important decision you will ever make in life. As Saviour, we are admitting that we are in need of Jesus to save us from our sin. As Lord, we are submitting to Jesus as the master of every part of our life. The Bible explains it this way:

MAN has a sin problem
The Bible tells us that we are missing out on the best life has to offer and on eternal life to come, because of our sin. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Further the Bible tells us that the result of sin is death and that eternal life cannot be earned but only comes through Jesus. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

But how do we begin to experience this abundant life now and have teh assurance that we will have eternal life with God in heaven?

The Solution - Repentance and Forgiveness
First, we need to believe that the way to this rich, full life is through Jesus Christ. Only as we allow Jesus to control our lives can we become true followers of Him.

"If you confess with your mouth, Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from dead, you shall be saved!" (Romans 10:9)

Next, we must admit that we have sinned (fallen short of God's standards) and be willing to confess our sin and turn from it. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Then we must receive Jesus Christ into our lives and He will come in. He will be our Lord and Saviour - making us His children. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the children of God, even to those who believe on His name. (John 1:12)

A Life with Jesus
After we have received Jesus into our lives we can expect to have the full life He promised here and eternal life with Him in heaven.
