Make A Wheel Difference

WHAT: A fundraiser to get wheelchairs for children with disabilities in Kenya. The objective will be to get around the loop with only two good legs for each pair of participants. Use a wheeled device without a motor: wheelchairs, bicycles, strollers, wagons – get creative! Costumes are not required but are welcome. A church-sponsored BBQ is planned for the same time.

WHERE & WHEN: September 24, 2022, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at the loop around the baseball diamonds in Didsbury.

HOW: Sign up in pairs. Figure out your wheeled device. Find sponsors. Get around the loop. Cheer for your friends. Have fun. Grades from school, sports teams, businesses and other groups can put together teams to participate.

SIGN UP, FUNDS & PRIZES: Each team will raise funds by finding sponsors. Special recognition will be provided to those groups who raise enough to cover the cost of a wheelchair which is $500. There will be prizes! All funds will go directly toward covering the cost of wheelchairs through BethanyKids. If you'd like your own web page for your team so people can give online, e-mail us and we will get that up for you in partnership with BethanyKids.

BENEFITS: Friends and family can work together to make a difference in lives as they experience a little bit of the difficulty of a mobility challenge themselves. All ages and abilities can participate. This is a fun community event that makes a big difference in the lives of children who need wheelchairs.
